We are very excited that the New York Times has published a story “Lawyers with Lowest Pay Report More Happiness” based on Professors Lawrence S. Krieger & Kennon M. Sheldon George Washington Law Review article What Makes Lawyers Happy?, 83 Geo. Wash. L. Rev. 554 (2015).
The New York Times Well Blog also interviewed George Washington Law Professor Todd Peterson and George Washington Law Student, former George Washington Law Student Bar Association President, and outgoing Law Review Associate Helen Clemens. As of May 14, 2015, this New York Times story is the most emailed article on www.nytimes.com.
We are also very proud that Bloomberg BNA Big Law Business Community’s Column “Wake Up Call” included a digest of the New York Times article on Krieger & Sheldon’s article.
A follow up article appeared in The Learning Network blog at the New York Times. “What Do You Want More From a Career: Happiness or Wealth?” asks for reactions from students 13 years and older. It should prove fascinating to see how Professor Krieger’s research affects those deciding what career path to take.
